The skin we interpret
Skin is active every moment. It binds and releases water, holds a boundary against the outside world, feeds a microflora, produces pigment, manages inflammation, builds and breaks down fibres. What you see in the mirror in the morning is the momentary result of that continuous inner work.
biomid starts from that insight: we describe your skin by how it works, and we begin designing from where it currently stands. A single symptom says little on its own. It is the relationship between the axes that shows what is really happening — and where the process is heading.

You record your own skin profile
You choose the product, then fill in the biomid skin questionnaire, describe in your own words what you notice on your skin, give your age and upload a face photo. The questionnaire provides the measurable base, your own description the knowledge only you have, your age the biological context, and the photo visual confirmation of the patterns. This route is available from anywhere and is on its own enough for a precise formula engineered for you.
THE PROFESSIONAL ROUTE · AT A BIOMID BEAUTICIAN
A professional records your skin profile
At members of the biomid partner network the data is recorded during a professional consultation. The beautician records fourteen facial parameters based on measurement and professional examination — including those that require an expert eye and touch: the thickness of the epidermis, the state of the barrier and deep-layer hydration. Together with the questionnaire this data gives a denser, more detailed diagnostic picture, and the professional's personal observation accompanies the whole process.
The online route is fast and independent. The professional route is deeper, with expert guidance throughout. Both feed into the same diagnostic core, and both produce a full biomid formula — the choice is yours.

Nine axes — the diagnosis
From here the biomid algorithm, developed in-house, takes over and analyses your skin along nine axes:
Each axis receives its own score. Together these values map out where your skin is working under the greatest load. The system highlights the three dominant axes — they set the focus of the entire formulation.
What sets this method apart: we read the axes in relation to one another. Hydration and barrier hold each other up. Inflammation and the microbiome reinforce each other. The state of the epidermis determines how deep the actives reach and caps the oil ratio of the formula. That is why every diagnosis has a direction: it shows what is building, what is stabilising, and where it is worth intervening.

Two formulation directions: Booster and Signature
The diagnosis decides which formula structure serves your skin best. The system keeps two routes open for this and chooses between them automatically, based on your axis scores.
BOOSTER
A structured component system, accurate to the millilitre
When the dominant axes show a balanced, moderate load, your skin needs support in several areas at once. This is when the Booster branch is built: every supported axis receives its own component pair from the biomid Booster database, and the dosing module determines the final proportions to the millilitre.
Meanwhile the system also enforces global limits — the state of the microbiome governs the total oil volume, and the thickness of the epidermis the final oil ratio. The result is a balanced, broad-based formula in which every component is present in a measurable amount and for a stated reason.
BIOMID SIGNATURE
An active-led, concentrated concept
When a single axis shows an exceptionally high value, your skin calls for a decisive, focused answer. This is when the Signature branch activates.
For the dominant axis the system selects a star active from the biomid active-ingredient database, and arranges four featured actives around it along the secondary axes. The star active provides the strategic centre of the formula, and the four supporting ones build a single, mutually reinforcing structure around it. This is the most personal formulation direction the system offers.
Switching between the two branches is automatic and rule-driven. The same input always produces the same result — the decision is reproducible and can be traced afterwards.

Made by hand, made fresh
Your cream is made individually, in small batches, from fresh raw materials — in roughly two weeks. We work with premium-grade, high-purity ingredients with a high active content, to biomid's quality requirements.
The formula is made fresh, without conventional preservatives. Its recommended period of use is therefore three months, stored cool and away from light. This shorter life cycle is a deliberate choice: the active-ingredient integrity of a fresh formulation is significantly higher.
